I recently moved here from Buffalo, NY where I was employed at the ymca for the past 2 years. However, my passion for swimming did not start there. I started swimming when I was about 3 years old, by age 8 I was on the swim team. Swimming has been an immense part of life ever since. I swam for both the ymca and my high school. When my freshman year came around I had already been on the varsity team for a year. I made it to sectionals for both my butterfly and freestyle. I got first place in my butterfly and tore my rotator cuff seconds before hitting the wall. My career as a competitive swimmer was over and I was heartbroken. My swim coach came to me and convinced me to start helping out with the younger team. I started coaching before I even made it into surgery and I have never stopped. I worked with my school team until graduation. Shortly after, I moved to Cleveland, OH where I worked at Goldfish Swim School until the day I moved back to Buffalo. No matter where life has taken me swimming has always been my outlet, and sharing my love of the pool with children has become my passion.
